My name is Arthur Thomas. I am a journalist based in Milwaukee, WI. I am a graduate of Carroll University in Waukesha and I am nearing the completion of an MA in Communication at Marquette University. I’ve been pursuing a career in journalism since high school. I have worked for student publications and interned at both large and small news outlets. I covered the 2011 and 2012 recall elections in Wisconsin. I’ve also covered education at both the university and K-12 levels. I’ve written articles focused on business trends, legal cases and general assignment work.
I approach journalism by trying to give readers as much information as possible. The goal is to provide an accurate accounting of an event or issue that is easy to read and understand. I enjoy taking a complex topic and finding a simple way to tell readers about it without loosing critical pieces of detail. I also seek to use video, photo and audio to augment stories where possible.
This website is intended to be a repository of my work. I’ve included links to my previous articles on the Clips File page. The Resume is just what it sounds like, a more detailed accounting of the positions I have held.
